I've taken my children here on two different occasions because this location has $.99 kids meals every Thursday between 5-8 pm. And this most recent time they had a table set up with activities for younger children (stickers, crayons, paper). The gentleman running the register was very welcoming. My kids love the food and the drink station with all the varieties of drinks to choose from. (They think the flavored Dasani water is pretty cool.) My only complaint is that the kids meals are quite small. Depending on the child, one meal might not be enough to fill him. My kids typically order the 4 piece chicken nuggets with either fries or mashed potatoes, and the drink included. One meal just doesn't quite do the job for my 8, 10, and 12 year-olds. The 12 year-old will order a second meal, and the 8 and 10 year-olds split a second meal. Still a good deal, and my kids are thrilled because I never take them out to eat! Out of the few items I've sampled, the mashed potatoes are awesome, with a slightly spicy gravy. The biscuits are tasty, too.

I come to this Popeye's every so often because it is convenient and very tasty. I was just there about 20 minutes ago at the drive thru and was super annoyed with the customer service. I already knew what I wanted to order, yet the conversation went like this: Me: I'd like a number 8 with---- Girl taking my order: Okay a 9 piece nugget meal with what side? Me: fries Girl: what to drink? Me: Diet Coke - Large please. I didn't appreciate being cut off because I ended up losing my train of thought and forgot to ask for ranch - I was already intending to answer her questions before she ever asked them, if she had just been patient enough to let me finish what I was saying. I am not a slow speaker whatsoever, so I didn't appreciate being cut off. This resulted in no ranch for me - and she never did ask me if I wanted any sauce. Also, she handed me my food with no bag, which is extremely annoying to have to deal with in a car....I got my box of food - with my straw poking out of one of the vent holes and napkins on top. I don't want my unopened straw touching my food because that is unsanitary. I have no idea what that straw paper has touched. Anyway, I was just really annoyed and I might not have been as irritated about the insanitary way my food was presented to me (which, by the way, wouldn't have happened if I had been given my food in a bag...ya know, because loose items in your car is no big deal), had she not just cut me off when I was trying to speak and made me forget my favorite part of the meal!

Very disappointing. I'll have to go back and give it another go because this was my first time. the concept is nice, fried catfish on the go, but the flavor and quality was not there at all. Perhaps they are new and haven't gotten everything down to the T, but my friend catfish was 20% catfish and 80% breading. My macaroni and cheese was tasteless, and the mash potatoes was runny! I'll give it a few months and give it another try. Hopefully my second review will be better than the first.

After living in Louisiana for 4 years, I was excited to find a Popeyes here in the valley. I wish it would have lived up to my expectations more though. The food was good and delicious, just the way that they do it down there, but there were too many negative aspects of my visit. First, and most importantly, they overcharged us for our order. The sign clearly displayed an advertised price of $4.99 for our meal, and when we looked at the receipt we had been charged $5.99. This was not by error of the cashier that was pressing the buttons, but the meal was actually programmed into their register wrong. They were nice about it when we brought it to their attention to get a refund, but we only caught it because we always check our receipts for this very reason. Who knows how many other people have been overcharged before us or will be after. Clearly unacceptable. Another thing I always find annoying is the choose your own soft drink creation Coca Cola machines with so many options. The resulting line just took way too long, and all I wanted was some ice for my sweet tea. Finally the parking. Many others have mentioned this as well, and for good reason. I wouldn't be surprised if many a fender bender happens in that parking lot. If there is any line at the drive through, and there usually is I'm assuming, it makes it a huge traffic jam trying to get in or out of the very small and narrow parking lot. This was very poorly designed. Some people say to only judge based upon the inside of the restaurant, but this issue certainly affects if I go back and park there ever again.

I will be doing this review based on 4 different things, 1. Environment 2. Customer service 3. Cleanliness. 4. Food. the environment was subpar at best service was fine but was disappointed with the lack of black people at this location. The store was dirty the floors were the works there was trash all over the place that you could visibly see everywhere. the food was delicious. I can see why black people afraid chicken so much and truth be told I think I might be black.

I always love Popeyes chicken, but today the service exceptional. We were taken well care of, or did was or quick, and were offered a free drink. We'll definitely be back.

Besides some of the bad reviews I want to ask people if they have ever seen heaven and if you haven't Popeyes is what heaven looks like. I have gone to that heathen place called KFC and all it is compared to this place is a dried out bucket of dicks straight from colonel sanders pruned out asshole, this place is so fucking glorious that when I shit their food compared to the glass and needles of KFC, it is like Freddie Mercury is gloriously singing Bohemian rhapsody into my anus as I eat more of Popeyes praise worthy chicken.

Big spicy fried chicken fan. They always mess up my drive thru order, so double check before you leave.

I would like to give a 3.5 for this location. The mashed potatoes were just awful! The gravy was good, interesting, but good. The chicken was pretty tasty and I did really enjoy the spice it had to it. The price was a bit much, we took this home to eat so I can't say too much about their cleanliness, but it was a little hectic, it was loud and crowded inside. There is a bit of a difficult time parking and I think one should know about this too because it can get pretty dicey in the parking lot since there are a few restaurants in the vicinity and people can get frustrated waiting for people to cross which can be dangerous especially when people are trying to find a parking spot for several restaurants.

Out of 20 visits to the drive thru, only twice has my order been fully correct. The few times I went inside ensured I won't go back inside, tables piled with trash and unwiped. Employees don't care and management isn't trying to change that.

I really like this place and their food is great! Love the biscuits, Chicken, and fries. They are a bit more expensive than most places but it is worth it.

The food is the shit!. So good. Don't go on weeknights unless you want vendors to bug you and ask for donations.

Love that chicken from Popeye's! We were astounded when we moved to SLC from Chicago the lack of fried chicken places in the valley. It either the grocery store deli counter or the southern gentleman's chicken of which I am not a fan. Then one glorious day Popeye's dropped into the SLC valley and back in to my life. It made us so happy to have that wonderful extra crispy dark meat chicken. We love Popeyes so much! I cannot say it enough.

This food is what KFC used to be. I quit going to KFC years ago because their chicken is horrible anymore. It sits under a heat lamp until its a dried husk of gross vomitous meat. The only thing worth still getting their was the mashed potatoes. So I tried popeyes last month for the first time and almost died. This is what I remember KFC like in the old days. I bit in a chicken breast and the white meat was so juicy it ran down my chin. I couldn't believe if. The spices on it were even better than the Colonel's secret recipe. My wife HATES chicken on the bone but I got her to try a piece a week later and now she's hooked. Now i just need to try their shrimp. That's next on my list! Their mashed potatoes are also just as good as KFCs and I definately recommend the Cajun Rice. Also they have one of those new Coke machines with like a million combinations of sodas to choose from. Thank you so much for bringing good fried chicken back to the Salt Lake Valley Popeye's. You've earned a customer for life.

I realize fast food is fast food. However, I just paid 17.14 for two meals and only reviewed one. The best part is that my meal isn't even what got and I can't eat it because it's shrimp and it'll put me in anaphylactic shock. So I just paid $17 to get home and still have to make myself dinner. If I had the time for that or the desire I would have done that in the first place. My order was given to me as soon as I pulled up to the window. I should have checked it but trusted that the people who work there would have done their job correctly. I would rather have waited 20 minutes and to have got my meal RIGHT than to be where I now which is pissed off and hungry! I won't be returning to this location ever! This is not the first time this has happened! Save yourself the trouble.

Good food, but the dining area was unclean. We had to wipe down our own table, and sadly it wasn't because it was overly busy.

Great workers but didn't give me enough chicken. If I order a 16 piece, don't give me 15. DUH!!

Being a native of Utah finding good fried chicken is almost impossible... With that being said I'm extremely thankful for Poppey's and for the simple fact I don't have to settle for KFC! WHOO HOO!

I have never been here before & I have heard all the hype about this place from friends & family. I was excited to go, plus my nieces & nephew never been here so I wanted them to enjoy it. Let me tell you, HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! Is it really necessary to yell at every customer walking through the door? I couldn't even hear myself order! I had to repeat my order back to the gal that was taking the order. The manager stood next to her and didn't even assist! Instead, she had someone else helping her, which was just as confused! It's not even about the money, and quite honestly my $30 was not well spent. I will never eat from this place, and I'll make sure to let everyone know how shitty this location is. Get it together!

Drive thru was very fast. Always gets our orders right. Chicken is delicious and not spicy which is good for me because I don't like hot stuff. Fries are yummy. I gave up on KFC a while before Popeyes opened so I'm happy to have this here in Utah now

People are complaining about parking or how crowded it is. That shouldn't hinder your review, as you're only there for what's inside. Don't judge on what can't be helped. To the food, the mashed potatoes don't taste good. Mac n cheese was miraculous. Oh my the chicken skin, better than bacon! Biscuits are a good addition. My only huge complaint here is that it needs to be a little darker in there, more tint to the windows. No matter where you sit, if the sun is up...someone in your party is getting blasted with sunlight!

We got some drive thru at the West Jordan, UT store. It was fast. However while we driving home we found the shrimp to be cold and very hard! My wife's and daughter's fish were the same. Very hard batter! The only way we could eat the food was to take the batter off. That destroys the reason we went to Popeye's, the flavor! So disappointing that we won't go there again.

This location is horrible. Workers are very lazy. Every time I go there, they are always messing up on my order; always messing up on the dipping sauces I want, even the drinks. When you're going through the drive thru, it seems like they want to rush you and get your order over with, then when you receive your order, it is all wrong. My advice is to check your order right after you receive it before you drive off.

So it's too bad to say that the first yelp review had to be mediocre, first off let me say that I'm a Popeyes lover but this location has disappointed me by not upholding the chains policy of a military discount, and when I even asked for one the employee looked at me like I was crazy. militarydiscountscentral… . The food is still the same ole Popeyes and was everything I thought I'd be but the customer service needs improvement.

This place just opened and it is AWESOME! I can talk about how it's better than KFC and how the food, despite being fast food, is delicious and different than what we've had in SLC before, but what really impresses me is the service level these guys have. I'm used to fast food service being bored and unenthusiastic but these guys are not only super fast (they even got our order wrong once and fixed it in seconds) they are greeting you and seem to love their job. It may be just fast food but it's a great place to go when you want something quick, delicious, and good for the whole family!

Tasty as always - Nice job ! I would give 5 stars but the size of the breast and wings is getting pretty small. Next time I am going to avoid the tiny wings they give you on the three piece and downsize to the two piece meal with the up charge for an extra breast. Mashed potatoes and gravy plus the Louisiana Spicy chicken just can not be stopped !

Food is good but overpriced. Parking is a nightmare. Drive thru line is always long (which I do not get). There's nothing to persuade me to make a return visit.

Don' t go through the drive thru; they give you the chicken they wouldn't dare serve inside. My chicken was over cooked, almost burned and the pieces were soo small. It's like I got fried chick instead of chicken. I won't be going back.

Not a good reflection of southern food. Everything was bland, over cooked and dry chicken. Our order wasn't correct, out of some items and not worth the long wait for service. Will not be returning after this disappointing visit.

Wow! This place just opened and had such fast service for being so busy. I went inside and prob only took about 5 minutes for the whole process of ordering, getting my drink, then my food being done. I had tried this place in lehi before since it was the only location near me and I wasn't impressed. But the new location in Jordan landing was soo good! I got the chicken tenders. I ordered half mild and half spicy. I got Mac n cheese for my side. I also have tried their Cajun fries. The fries are delicious with that seasoning. And it comes with a biscuit. The biscuit was so tasty and buttery! I didn't add anything to it, just ate it plain and it was the best biscuit I have ever had! The Mac n cheese was ok, not great but not bad. The chicken tenders were very good. I liked my mild tenders dipped in their blackened ranch and my spicy tenders dipped in regular ranch. I tried the mardigras mustard but it had too much of a Dijon mustard flavor so I didn't like my chicken dipped in it. I liked the mild tenders better than the spicy because the spicy flavor wasn't really that flavorful. I was very pleased with this meal and am looking forward to going back!

I have eaten at Popeye's around the country. this location did not live up to what I have come to expect. The staff was certainly friendly and courteous. Of course they are still going through their grand opening phase. However I was disappointed in several things. First NO Chicken Gizzards. bummer, that is the main reason I go. Granted they are for a select few but it is hard to find gizzards in Utah. Secondly, I ordered the Shrimp Po Boy. It came out with no shrimp. I took it back and they replaced it with a new sandwich. That took about 5-8 minutes. The sad thing was the shrimp was not even warm. I didn't bother to take it back again because I was just getting more frustrated. My wife ordered the shrimp basket combo meal. Half of the shrimp were just breading. They weren't the popcorn shrimp I am used to seeing there. For the price we will go to Sizzler or even Golden Corral and get all -you-can eat shrimp. We won't be back to this location. I will visit them in other states.
